On Thursday, March 31st, 2011 Habitat for Humanity Toronto’s CEO Neil Hetherington spoke at Queens Park on behalf of Habitat Toronto volunteers. The Bill: Strong Communities Through Affordable Housing Act, is relevent to what we do at Habitat Toronto and has proven results that we get to see on a daily basis.
Neil Hetherington speaks about this in his speech, “Homeowners through the Habitat for Humanity program truly break the cycle of poverty and develop into productive, community-minded citizens. The tangible benefits of breaking the cycle of poverty are demonstrated in the results of a national survey of Habitat families.”
